What level of Japanese proficiency is required to participate in Toracon?
Counseling and emails are available only in Japanese. If you can speak conversational Japanese, please feel free to contact us.
How does it differ from other matchmaking services?
Toracon works as a “marriage consultant” where an expert otaku advisor works with you to support you until you are successfully matched.
We are a member of the Japan Marriage Agency Federation (hereafter, “IBJ”) , and, therefore, have established strict membership screening standards to support high-quality encounters, relationships, and successful matches. This has led to us being ranked in the top 10 for successful matches within the Japan Marriage Consulting Federation, and we have a large number of success stories.

Can you I join even if I am not an otaku?
Yes, you can.
Many people say they “want to meet somebody who understands them,” so as long as you can accept your partner’s hobby and not be judgmental, you can join.
The secret to success is to be able to think from the perspective of a person of the opposite sex.
